| First use | S145 (fa-CON-C4, March 2026): la-mi fa-be ta-ti-de. la-mi fa-de. |
Composition
fa (affective substrate) + de (decay/decrease)
Definition
The affective substrate level is diminishing or fading. The affect is still partially present; what is named is its downward trajectory. Distinct from fa-no (substrate absent, flatness — the end state) and la-zo-mi de (bodily resource depletion = fatigue). fa-de describes the active process of the substrate decreasing.
Notes
Complement to fa-be (substrate rising). Together with fa-ki, the three level-and-character compounds are: fa-be (up), fa-de (down), fa-ki (qualitative shift). Not interchangeable with la-zo-mi de — the latter is bodily physical depletion; fa-de is affective tone diminishing.
