First use S437 — ka-zo-ra-ma lo-de-ki'ma pu-yu (drink the wine, all of you)

Composition

de (decay/decrease/diminishment) + ki'ma (liquid, W114) = the liquid that has undergone decrease/transformation through decay = fermented liquid = wine. Note: ki'ma already carries the apostrophe internally; the full compound written form is deki'ma.

Definition

wine; fermented liquid. Any liquid that has undergone the decay/fermentation process: primarily wine (fermented grape- liquid), but also covers other fermented drinks. Fermentation is compositionally encoded as de (decay/diminishment) applied to ki'ma (liquid, W114): the liquid whose nature includes a decay process = fermented liquid = wine.

Notes

Eucharistic wine. Contrasts with du-zo-su (W142 = fruit, the raw origin material Jesus names in S428: "fruit of the vine"). The shift from du-zo-su to de-ki'ma is the institution act: what was named by origin is now named by transformation. Where Jesus says "fruit of the vine" (S428), he uses du-zo-su (the natural-produce designation). The cup that IS the covenant (S434–S437) uses zo-ki'ma-mi (my blood), not de-ki'ma — the covenant-sign is named by what it signifies, not by its chemical composition.

de (primitive: decay/decrease), ki'ma (W114: liquid), du-zo-su (W142: fruit/plant-result — the origin material), zo-ki'ma (W164: blood — what the Eucharistic cup signifies)
